I’m convinced that these moments are so routine that we hardly notice them accumulating throughout the day. In fact, it might be easier to really zero in on the moments when we are fully present—because those are actually rarer. In the 21st century, being fully in the present moment is becoming something of a Herculean feat, and we live in a state of near-constant distraction.
