Think of it this way.
If you’re in college to learn business, you want to learn the skills that are more closely related to your future career.
Your future career would benefit more from taking business classes, like entrepreneurship and marketing. Taking classes in painting and biology would be less relevant.
By focusing on the skills that are most closely related to your goal, your make better progress.
The same is true for happiness. Learning certain happiness skills will increase your happiness more than learning other skills.
What else makes a skill high-impact?
Well, imagine you are worse at math than language. Then you would benefit more from practicing math than language.
Because learning skills that you personally struggle with will increase your happiness more than working on skills you’re already good at.
