Happiness generally includes both positive emotions and a sense of meaning in life. In my book, Outsmart Your Smartphone, I talk a lot about the skills we can build to increase happiness. But ideally, it's better to first understand which skills or experiences most affect or contribute to your happiness. So here you can explore what generates happiness for you so that you can better map out a path for how to create a life with those things.

Activity: Discover What Generates Happiness For You

In order for you to increase your own happiness, you first need to understand how different skills contribute to your happiness. For the following activity, please explore what factors contribute to your happiness. Everyone is different, so there are no wrong answers. The goal is to understand what matters for you.
Note. Submitting your responses enables us to better understand how people define happiness. If you want to keep your responses, you'll have to save or print this page. Thanks!
