Resilience may be one of our most essential abilities. We will all face setbacks, endure hard times, and experience loss. If we want to live our lives fully, despite the adversity we face, resilience is critical (Herrman et al., 2011).
Scholars have defined resilience as “having the capacity to persist in the face of change, to continue to develop with ever changing environments” (Folke, 2016). Importantly, it is an ability that we can all cultivate. Being reminded of our strength and the power of resilience is a good way to bolster our perseverance so that we can grow and transform in all the best ways. Check out these quotes on resilience if you need a reminder or inspiration to grow through what you’re going through.
