You know the crazy thing about learning?

It's way easier when we are kids.

Do you remember how easy it was to learn a new language or a new instrument or a new sport?

That's right! Our brains can pick up new skills WAY easier when we are kids - and that includes the skills that lead to happiness.

You know what this means?

It means that the kids in our lives - our children, our nieces and nephews, and our friends and neighbor's kids - can absorb happiness-boosting skills like little sponges!

How awesome would this world be if we helped our children develop skills - like positivity and emotional intelligence - skills that lasted for their whole lives?

That's the world I want to live in.

But it's not too late for our kids!

And that's why the Berkeley Well-Being Institute created a line of science-based happiness products for kids - to train their brains and develop these skills for life.

A simple way for children to improve well-being is by learning positive words. Why? Because this practice can create stronger connections in their brains for positive information. As a result, positivity can be more available, accessible, and easily activated in daily life.

To use this book:
  1. Cut out the positive-word cards.
  2. Encourage kids to practice spelling the words.
  3. Once they can spell all the words, challenge kids to memorize 3 or more words per day, and quiz them at night.
  4. Quiz them, level up, & repeat often.
