Do you prioritize positivity?
Maybe you have already learned that your beliefs affect your emotional experiences and you identified a few behaviors that you currently engage in to increase the experience of your most valued emotions. Now we are going to work on behaviors that affect our emotions.
Our entire lives are made up of different behaviors and activities that we engage in. All of these behaviors affect our happiness. Some increase it; some decrease it. The more we prioritize engaging in activities that increase life purpose, meaning, and well-being, the happier we are.
Activity: Prioritizing positivity
For this next activity, create a big list of things that you enjoy doing. Try to be as specific as possible. For example, instead of saying you want to bake, be specific. Maybe you want to bake cookies for your family.
Create your own Pinterest board.
Remember, everyone is different, so try to think hard about what you personally enjoy doing with your time. If you don’t like to paint, or swim, or go for a run, then don’t put these items on your list.
Make your own Activity board!
Excellent work! Now you know what activities to engage in to prioritize positivity.
